Courses for Adults

Courses for new students:

Vipassana meditation is taught to new students during 10-Day residential courses where the technique is taught step-by-step each day. This period has been found to be the minimum necessary for new students to understand the technique and its benefits through their own experience. The courses begin in the afternoon of day 0 after a registration period and orientation, followed by 10 full days of meditation, and end the morning of the 11th day.

Before applying for a course, please carefully read the Introduction to the Technique and Code of Discipline which you will be asked to follow during your course.

Courses for old students*:

Dhamma Sumeru offers different courses for old students such as regular 10-Day courses, Satipatthana Sutta courses (8-days) and short courses of 1-3 days. All old students are welcome to apply to attend these courses, including those where it has been some time since their last course.
If you are interested in longer courses or special courses for old students, please visit the section Old student for more information.
